My Parents' Computers
My mother uses a PowerBook G3/500/256MB/12GB Pismo mainly for Excel work. I just updated it to 10.3 while I was home for Christmas, and so far she's liking OS X a lot.
My father uses an iBook SE G3/366 for mapping (via VirtualPC) and FileMaker work. With only 196 MB of RAM, I'm hesitant to try OS X on it, and he has enough trouble keeping track of anything newer than OS 8 as it is, so it's running 9.1.something. In the summer of 2002 I swapped his 4 or 6 gig drive for the 10 I took out of Singularity. Don't try swapping drive in a clamshell iBook unless you're very confident in your mechanical abilities. Even I ended up with 2-3 spare screws - those things are very complicated.
